When Immogen & Jay reached out for a last-minute wedding at the historic Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. Nestled in the heart of Fish Creek Provincial Park, this Calgary gem is one of my absolute favourite venues to photograph no matter how short the notice.
As a Calgary wedding photographer, I’m always excited to shoot at this picturesque location. Whether it's spring blossoms, fall foliage, or summer greens, Bow Valley Ranche never disappoints. Built in 1896, the Bow Valley Ranche is a true historic Calgary venue perfect for intimate and medium-sized weddings, accommodating anywhere from 12 to 70 guests.
Upstairs, you’ll find charming vintage furniture and a bright, spacious bridal suite, ideal for getting ready photos. Couples can even request access to the upper balcony for a private moment (or a romantic photo op).
Downstairs, the main salon provides a cozy, intimate setting for brunch or dinner receptions. Think rustic elegance with heritage character.
Outdoors, the manicured garden is beautifully maintained and offers several layout options for ceremonies, including a west-facing orientation that frames your vows with the lush greenery of Fish Creek Park.
